Encaustic Wax Painting is an old world art dating back to 2000 BC and was used by the Romans, Greeks and Egyptians. It means to "burn in" using melted bees wax over charcoal fires and then plant resins were used to add color.
Today we don't use charcoal, however any hot tool i.e., small electric iron, stylus pen and colored wax will produce the same effect.
Ann is available and would be happy to produce a custom piece for any special occasion.
